At Community Care Health Ltd (CCH), we believe exceptional eye care should come to you. We are a small, family-run independent home visiting optician service, providing professional, compassionate, and convenient eye examinations in the comfort, privacy, and familiarity of your own home.
We offer both free NHS-funded home eye tests for eligible patients and private home eye examinations, making high-quality eye care accessible to those who may struggle to attend a high street practice. If patients are unable to leave home unaccompanied due to physical or mental health needs, frailty, or disability, they may qualify for a free NHS home eye test.
Led by an experienced UK-qualified Optometrist with extensive community and domiciliary expertise, our service is built around one simple principle: high-quality clinical care with a genuine personal touch.

Many of our patients are unable to travel due to mobility issues, frailty, disability, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke recovery, complex health needs, or anxiety around unfamiliar environments. By bringing the full eye care service directly into the home, we make the process easier, calmer, and far less stressful.
A key part of our specialist service is supporting patients with cognitive impairment, communication difficulties, and non-communicative individuals, including those living with advanced dementia, neurological conditions, learning disabilities, or post-stroke challenges. Our calm, patient-centred approach allows us to adapt the examination around the individual, ensuring they still receive the eye care they need in a way that feels safe, respectful, and dignified.
We also work closely with family members, carers, case managers, and care home staff, who can arrange appointments on behalf of loved ones or residents. Our goal is to make accessing eye care as simple and reassuring as possible for everyone involved.
